World Book Day 2013

Pirate Jack with his faithful friend (Chester) and dubious parrot.

Being four, you are allowed to change your mind at very last minute about what you would like to dress as for World Book Day....leaving your mum only an hour to make a sword, buckles, treasure and parrot (yep, I know it looks more like a fish with legs)

  1. Ahhhh, but he looks simply adorable and the parrot is great! I would have known it was a parrot instantly.
We had a last minute crochet emergency for WBD in our house as well so you have my full sympathy.

  4. Oh, that is too cute and funny! At first I thought it was a porcelain statue and then I saw your son's face! I never heard of World Book Day...I was off tooting International Woman's Day but maybe that was yesterday! LOL! You ARE super Mom with that little notice! BTW...did I tell you how much I adored your socks? Gorgeous! I get so caught up in the "cuteness" of your boys that I forget about you! LOL!
    Sorry....they're just so cute though!

  5. They are sooo cute... but of course your son is cuter ( even though I have to say with the amount of time you had the parrot looks marvelous :) :) Moms are superheroes.

  6. Wow, great job on EVERYTHING. I was a pirate a few years ago (for Halloween I mean) and I could NOT make a buckle to satisfy me. So I'm particularly impressed by those.

What would we do without aluminium foil? And did you crochet that parrot in an hour? You should have a cape in honour of your superpowers. :)

  8. Ha! Ha! Be glad you didn't have to make a cow or something. :) The first picture looks like one of those old time portraits. Love the lighting you captured. Yes, you definitely have the World's Cutest Boys! :) Well done on all counts, mom. :)

  12. Fabulous! Such a great mum, always rising to the occasion Faith and Chester's looking very proud too (I think I recognise the parrot as a very rare species... you must keep it safe!)

I'd love to hear what you think, and I won't be asking you to jump through hoops (or fill in a captcha) to do it.............
