One-a-day Tuesday (22nd Nov)

This is a flying visit.....because as ever, I have a million things to do and about quarter of an hour to do them!

I have fitted in my 14 flowers this week which was my aim to make two a day and I think the pressure may be off a little next week, so hopefully I may even stretch to doing three a day.

There are three new pattern flowers in there (the purple ones with the circle around), which have really caused me to smile.  One has six petals, the other two have seven......but the best bit is, that the one in the book I am working from has eight.........not sure how I manage it!!  Maybe by next week I will have mastered it..........either that or I will just say its part of the bespoke design?

These are them all, not a great accuracy for colour, but hopefully giving you an idea of what I am aiming at.

Now question is.......do I make a long scarf when I join, or more of a triangular shaped shawl?

Come on help my christmas-induced-fuzzy brain make a decision!

Well, only have 999,999 other things to do......ooops and about three minutes left!

  1. They are gorgeous, like my idea of a perfect flower garden. If it were me I would make a triangular shawl to keep the feeling of a mass of flowers but a straightish one would be beautiful as well. I suppose you should go for whichever gets the most wear.
    They made me smile.

  2. these are lovely looking, I think if I were to choose it would have to be a shawl like item to make..though I am not sure which shape would be easiest

  3. Okay, I have to play devil's advocate (of course! Do you know a more devilsh goat?) and say the scarf! I think it would be an awesome scarf and she could wear it with her coat or just as a dress up to a nice blouse!

  4. Gorgeous! I would go for the same shape as Lucy's flower scarf/shawl, it would work really well with your flowers.

Love the flowers and I'm still confused how your going to join them....can't wait until its time, see my christmas induced fuzzy brain sure can't work it outlol.
well which do you think the recipent would like to receive shawl or scarf, which will they use most often, personally I like both but shawls perhaps just a tad more.
And you know I do live in a more beautiful spot, pictures soon to prove it ;-p

  6. These look great! I think a shawl sounds lovely, but a scarf will be wonderful, too. I'd go with whatever you are most likely to actually wear because these deserve an audience.

  8. Good luck getting all your jobs done.
Those flowers are lovely, I vote for a shawl but think they would look great in either. I know I've said it before, but I love the colours you've used.

  9. LOVE them and I think a long scarf would look amazing. Love that you keep getting different amounts of petals hehe. I see you are also having a rush of a week I hope we get to the end quickly and you enjoy your glass of red I think this weekend I will be in need of a lovely cider. We'll have them together in spirit. xx

  10. Shawl... shawl...shawl!! (I am actually jumping up and down as I shout this you know)! You can wear a shawl like a scarf, but not a scarf like a shawl... but whatever you decide is going to be g-or-ge-ous!!! ps: You pop up on blogs I follow very often.. usually a few posts before me for some reason...and nearly everytime you comment, you make me smile...you do say some funny (in a good way) things Faith! :)x

  11. Oooohhh, these are so wonderful. I see that a lot of folks voted for a shawl, but I see a long scarf that can be looped a couple of times around the neck or just once around. Either way, you are doing a beautiful job making these flowers.

  12. Anything you use the flowers for will be beautiful. I vote for scarf. Looks like it is pretty even so we aren't really helping you decide.

  16. A shawl would be beautiful but I'd just worry that she'd get more wear from the long scarf. My preference though would be for the triangular shawl shape(even though its probably not practical).

  17. I would choose triangular-ish or is it trapezium? The flowers are so beautiful - I want one too! Judy x

I'd love to hear what you think, and I won't be asking you to jump through hoops (or fill in a captcha) to do it.............
